She walked nearly every day after lunch and before tea. I think it must have been really terrible for her to have London bombed; my theory is that the war, destruction of her London homes, books, etc. noise of planes, etc. in Sussex contributed to her state of mind in 1941 when she committed suicide.
Thank you so much for the lovely and interesting article---visiting the area next month, but that walk is not on then.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4077938022508723610.post-48390573049165874882010-08-03T08:43:24.170+01:002010-08-03T08:43:24.170+01:00very nice.... informativevery nice.... informativeAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00288004256407492802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4077938022508723610.post-13642591608353960312009-08-22T02:27:31.117+01:002009-08-22T02:27:31.117+01:00maravilloso y documentado recorrido

I wonder, perhaps, if Virginia may have contemplated life in this manner as she took walks similiar to yours.Dan Hoadleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07736316682993241609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4077938022508723610.post-47154319908951588572009-07-24T23:03:09.904+01:002009-07-24T23:03:09.904+01:00Thank you to blogging woolf for the mention, I was...Thank you to blogging woolf for the mention, I was very excited when I read that.

I am glad that you are all enjoying my account of the walk, it was a great day, very inspiring to see the places that Virginia Woolf walked and wrote.Flohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10312538685856436794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4077938022508723610.post-55524287237064902852009-07-24T21:20:34.924+01:002009-07-24T21:20:34.924+01:00I only discovered your blog a few days ago. A nice touch. Thank you. All I got to do in Firle when I visited in 2001 was to visit the church and note the grave of Quentin Bell, which was the only one that hadn't been tended to.Margaret Gosdenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12588297074835472141noreply@blogger.com
