I do hope you are able to get some of the Bloomsbury Heritage Series, though small, they are really interesting to read because they offer a glimpse into the lives of a very interesting group of people.

I have now read The Wise Virgins and really enjoyed it. I have lots to say about it but I must post about The Voyage Out first…Flohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10312538685856436794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4077938022508723610.post-58608649760999710132009-09-02T06:22:54.767+01:002009-09-02T06:22:54.767+01:00Hi Flo,

I've sent an e-mail to Mr. Woolf thinking I may purchase some titles if the post to the U.S. isn't too prohibitive.

I just finished reading "The Wise Virgins" which I would not have done had it not been on your reading list. In the beginning I was somewhat disappointed - bored actually - but then tensions began to build among the characters and the story became quiet compelling. The forward to the edition I bought - Victoria Glendinning -noted that the character of Harry was somewhat autobiographical while that of Camilla was based on VW. If so it certainly is reflective of the relationship between Leonard and Virginia.

I look forward to your comments about it.

DanDan Hoadleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07736316682993241609noreply@blogger.com
